Description :
Binary liquid mixtures of Dimethyl sulfoxide with methanol, ethanol and propanol have been studied
at 295.15 K and 300.15 K. Acoustic, viscometric and volumetric data have been used to determine
excess values of Gibb’s free energy of activation, internal pressure and available volume. Deviation in
data obtained for excess molar volume, viscosity and excess isentropic compressibility have been
correlated with the help of Redlich Kister polynomial equation. Jouyban Acree model has been used to
correlate experimental data and thus intermolecular interactions and non-ideal behavior have been
interpreted for binary liquid mixtures.
