Bis –β diketones have been synthesized by employing Baker Venkantraman Rearrangement on esters (o-aroyloxy/heteroaroyloxyacetophenones). The transition metal complexes have been synthesized by simple refluxing the ligand with the transition metal salts. The synthesized compounds were characterized by analytical techniques viz: IR, NMR, Mass and elemental analysis.
