From an historical point of view, the beginning of nanotechnologies is generally situated around Feynman’s 1959 talk: \\\\\\\"there’s plenty of room at the bottom\\\\\\\". Although electronic miniaturization began in 1965, the break through occurred in 1981 with the scanning tunnelling microscope (STM), an observation and manufacturing instrument. This paper introduce the development of nanotechnology and material engineering with the concept of molecular nanotechnology.
