Description :
The storage warehouse is known close vessel and stored material is one of the sources of cellulosic and non-cellulosic substrate. Humid indoor environment of warehouses favour fungal saprobes to degrade cellulosic material. Present survey was undertaken for a period of two weeks and reported an indoor aeromycoflora from various corners of storage warehouse. Altogether 469 colonies categorize under fourteen genera and twenty four species have been encountered from the area understudy. Members of Ascomycota dominated with more than two-third of the total colonies followed by Deuteromycota contributing one-third colonies while least count was recorded for Oomycota, Zygomycota and sterile mycelia. Basidiomycota member did not appear. Greater count of colonies was found occur in first week of December while moderate count was confined in second week. Cladosporium was dominated with greater colony count followed by Fusarium, Aspergillus, Diplodia and Penicillium. The isolates, Aspergillus and Fusarium were recorded with 4 species; Penicillium, Curvularia with 3 species and others had single species. Diversity of indoor aeromycoflora concerns to changing indoor environment of warehouse. Climate for first week of December was found ideal for proliferation of aeromycoflora.
