This present paper aimed to study the seasonal variation on the occurrence of the tapeworm Phorieiobothrium Sp. (Linton, 1890) in the marine fish Aetobatis narinari (Muller and Henle) from Ratnagiri District during June 2011 to May 2014. A total of 420 numbers of Aetobatis narinari has been sampled for the heminthic infection in which 138 fishes (33 %) has been found to be infected with 255 were recovered from different organs of the fishes, with the highest number recoded in the intestine. The tapeworm Phorieiobothrium sp. there by indicating high prevalence of infection. The parasites were much more abundant in summer season followed by winter and monsoon.
