The present communication deals with the study of biodiversity of phytoplanktons from Aurad tank Dist. Osmanabad. The study was carried-out during the year 2016. (January to December). The result shows that the phytoplankton diversity comprises of 12 species belonging to chlorophyceae (05), cyanophyceae (04), Bacillariophycae (02) and Euglenophyceae (01) were recorded.
