Deterioration of library materials caused by biological agent has been investigated by different scientist from the world like Armitage (1949), Greathouse and Wessel (1954), Kowalik and Sadurska (1956).Air monitoring inside library of Balasaheb Desai College, Patan has been carried out from June to May using Rotorod Air Sampler. The PDA petriplates also exposed to study culturable fungi. The present experiment revealed Penicillium as highest spore count to total airspora followed by Aspergillus (14.11%) and Cladosporium (13.53%).
